About Us

The Lanka Readymix Concrete Association

  • was formed in 1998 with 6 members,
  • registered office being at No. 9, Kovil Veediya, Colombo 10,
  • with the view to unite and equip the membership to collectively face day-to-day difficulties and problems by the Readymix producers.


We introduce

  • advanced concrete technologies ,
  • relevant utility products such as chemicals and their effective use by correct manner to suit the environmental conditions and finished product to be durable and serviceable.
  • Above by way of organising seminars, workshops and training programs to face the rapid change of technology.


To get together and set sight

  • To overcome the price escalation of raw materials
  • To accommodate pricing.,


To give comprehensive details of the member readymix producers and direct the clients to the product manufacturing sites


To have regular meetings and get together to make the members to be familiar and get to know each other.


The Lanka Ready mix Concrete Association held its Annual Get-together

The Lanka Ready mix Concrete Association held its Annual Get-together on 13th December 2019 after a lapse of two years. The event took place at the Rajabojun (Pvt) Ltd., Restaurant, 4th floor, Liberty Arcade, Colombo 03.

It was a packed house in spite of the inclement weather prevailing at the time.

Our special thanks go out to our Gold Sponsors M/s. Ultratech Cement and M/s. Singha Cement and our Silver Sponsors, M/s. Tokyo Super, Power Tech, INSEE Cement, WAPCO, Millennium C.T. and CHRYSO Lanka who came forward with their generous contributions. We also have to thank M/s. DHT Cement, M/s. Tudawe Brothers, Sathuta, Sanken and ELS who came forward to support us with contributions in cash and in kind.

Even though the decision to hold this event was taken only in November, the Office bearers and members of the Association worked tirelessly to help make this event a success.

Our Treasurer Mr. Jeremy Adams invited our Chairman Mr. Anura Vithanage to the podium to make his welcome address to the guests and special invitees.

Two Video presentations were made, the first on the New Kelaniya Bridge Project and the other on the proposed Light Rail Transit Project which led up to the introduction of Mr. Priyantha Perera, Chairman, Sierra Constructions and Major & Specialist Constructors Association for his talk on the present situation within the Construction Industry and a look at a brighter future ahead.

For entertainment, the dance troupe “Tharaka” performed three dance items which live music was provided by the one-man band “Purple”. The event was a grand success.
